Despite the recent woes over the virus outbreak, it seems that the popularity of The M was undeterred with over 2000 visitors at the launch weekend of The M. As Wing Tai Property Management has rightly pointed out, they were “very encouraged by the strong turnout (that has) exceeded expectations”. 

The M is definitely one of the most fascinating launches due to a combination of facilities, location, and amenities within the region. Since it is located within District 7, it must be mentioned that this district saw a huge (close to a whopping 93 percent!) appreciation, with signature properties within the area like Duo Residences and South Beach Residences doing very well too. 


Details of the development 

The M is located along the Middle Road and is one of the newest luxury mixed-use condominiums in Singapore, which is coupled with an attractive location within the renowned Bugis region. With a combination of premium high-rise towers, commercial space and low-rise residences within the area, The M is the perfect addition and a great option to consider. It comprises three 20 storey towers and one low-rise residential block, and this adds up to 522 units in total. The M is developed by WingTai Investments, which is a very established company that was founded in 1955 in Hong Kong and incorporated in Singapore on 9 August 1963. Today, Wing Tai Holdings Limited is Singapore’s leading property developer and lifestyle company. Some of their famous works include none other than Le Nouvel Ardmore, The Crest, and The Garden Residences. 


Where can you find The M? 

Evidently The M is located in a very convenient place, since it takes only a short 3 minutes walk for you to reach the Bugis MRT station, perfectly connected to the heart of East-West Line and Downtown Line. In addition, one extra stop brings you to City Hall MRT station, which is connected to the North-South Line as well. 

This means that it takes less than 20 minutes for you to reach the Orchard Central Area and the Central Business District (CBD) as well, which are both very crucial areas of either work or recreational entertainment like shopping and dining too. 

While most central condominiums are definitely closer to the Orchard area that is within District 9 or 10, it is still a good idea to live in District 7 where the distance is almost unnoticeable (couple of minutes give or take), and the fact that there is also a growing entertainment and recreational opportunities within the Bugis area.  

Since it is so close to the MRT station, it means that there are numerous bus routes that run along Middle Road and Rochor Road, enabling seamless travelling possible for you.

The M – A comparison 

If we take into account the Masterplan 2019 that states the development plans of District 7, The M certainly has a lot of offer when it comes to upside potential. There are plans to inject more park spaces and other recreational offerings within the area, and yet there are little developments within the area to capitalize on this. Hence, it’s natural to think that The M would definitely benefit from this in the future. 

In addition, when we take prices into consideration, we see that The M is slightly on the more affordable side given that its price starts from approximately $2,200 psf, while other options like Midtown Bay are at $2,898 psf while Duo Residences is at $2,154 psf.
